Some of the coursework that you can expect to have in this area of study include human anatomy, medical terminology, medical ethics, statistics, computer science, insurance laws, and health information systems. A four-year degree is necessary to pursue a career in healthcare management. Those interested in pursuing careers as healthcare managers will need to obtain a master’s degree as well. These degrees are available at many community colleges and trade schools, and generally focus on areas such as communication and leadership, finance and accounting, management information systems, and organizational behavior.
