It’s not just about the shade trees provide

It’s not just about the shade trees provide, but there are a lot of other benefits of having them as well. Most trees absorb and store moisture in their trunks, branches, leaves and roots. This helps to moderate temperature and reduce the risk of drought. Trees also purify the air by absorbing pollutants such as particulate matter. They absorb 85% more pollutants than grasses do in their first two years! Not to mention that they can survive things like fire or ice events that would kill other plants completely because they grow back so quickly while still maintaining good health.

The best part about all of the benefits is that there are so many different types of trees to choose from. There’s a size, shape and color for almost any situation or environment: tropical or temperate, coniferous (needles) or deciduous (leaves), single or multi-stemmed. There are trees that can be grown in containers, trees that require little maintenance, and trees that produce beautiful flowers and fruits.

Farming may be the most important overall activity on the planet and trees play a vital role in keeping our Earth’s climate and ecosystems healthy. Not all trees are great, though — many trees have been cultivated to serve food or other commercial purposes, while others are dying out due to human activity. By finding out which types of tree will benefit our daily lives, we can all protect Mother Nature by planting species that have adapted well with changing conditions, fast-growing fruitwoods for instance.
