Postbiotics Supplements

Postbiotics are microorganisms that reside in the large intestine where they help digest the food we eat and help protect the intestinal lining by competing with other microorganisms for nutrients and space to live. Many of these same bacteria are also naturally present in our bodies, but in very low levels. Normally there is enough good bacteria to maintain a healthy balance of the undesirable bacteria but when our intake of antibiotics increases, for example because of antibiotic use in the war, the imbalance between the two shifts the balance of bacteria to a higher level of alkaline which kills off the bad bacteria.

This allows the bad bacteria to continue to flourish and so it is this reason why so many people become deficient in these important bacteria. The problem is that most people do not think they have a deficiency in these bacteria and therefore their intake of antibiotics is not addressed. However it is recognised that many health problems can be made better by including more friendly bacteria in the diet. One such way to achieve this is with the use of Postbiotics Supplements.

These introduce friendly bacteria to the system at a higher dose than the body usually requires, thus boosting the good bacteria without increasing the toxic levels. They are available as powders, tablets or capsules and some are designed to contain only a few selected species of bacteria while others will provide a wide range of different species to combat a variety of different diseases and health problems. It has been shown that even a small increase in the levels of bacteria in the body can improve your health and ability to resist disease and illness.

This is because the beneficial bacteria help to strengthen your immune system by producing antibodies which enable your body to attack the illness quicker and more efficiently. Although there are a variety of different types of supplements on the market, it is still best to talk to your doctor or health care provider before starting any kind of supplementation. It is also worth noting that some supplements may have the opposite effect on the body you are trying to boost so it is always important to read the label and follow the instructions carefully.
